Interviewing those on the frontier of technology, this show was hands-down the most educational gig I’ve ever had.  When they first approached Roahn & I about scoring the series the initial request was music that mixed ‘Stranger Things with E.T.’.  We jumped at the opportunity and were so excited to write music like that.

But it didn’t work.

Once we started putting these tracks to picture we very quickly realized that we needed much more organic and acoustic textures that support the world of ‘craft’ and ‘ideas’.  The show really started to take shape once we infused woodwinds, strings, piano and guitar.

The real moment of clarity came when we first started scoring for Robert Downey, Jr.’s on-camera footage.  Electric Bass ended up being the perfect sound that connected everything together.
